Telkomsel Hyper 5G network is present in the Mandalika area for the international motorbike racing event MotoGP 2022, which will take place at the Mandalika International Street Circuit, Lombok - West Nusa Tenggara, on March 18-20, 2022, with the support of 16 BTS 5G as well as the showcase "Telkomsel 5G Experience" with six use cases that provide the best and different digital activity experience for the community and Telkomsel also presents a variety of leading programs, products, and services to complement and support various digital lifestyle needs of customers while in the Mandalika area.

Telkomsel uses the 2100 MHz and 2300 MHz frequencies that have been commercially deployed since last year, and the additional 3500 MHz frequency and 26 GHz (26000 MHz) millimeter wave-temporarily permitted for use by the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information during the Mandalika MotoGP event. In testing in the Mandalika area, the frequency combination of 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, and 2500 MHz can produce speeds of more than 2 Gbps. Whereas in the test using the 26 GHz millimeter wave frequency, Telkomsel Hyper 5G speed reaches more than 5 Gbps.
